About

We listen, act, and transform

As a parent, it’s heartbreaking to watch your child struggle with big emotions—especially when they can’t find the words to explain what’s wrong. Whether your child is dealing with anxiety, emotional outbursts, or the impact of major life changes, therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating. For children, play is the most natural and effective way to process their inner world. Through play therapy, kids express what they’re feeling in a way that feels safe and empowering. I specialize in child-centered therapy and am currently working toward certification in Synergetic Play Therapy®, a cutting-edge, research-informed model that blends neuroscience, attachment, and play. This approach supports children in developing emotional awareness, practicing regulation, and building resilience—all through a relational and engaging process. I also integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) tools when appropriate to support your child’s growth at home, school, and in their relationships. In our sessions, your child will feel seen, heard, and respected. I follow their pace, offering a balance of non-directive space and gentle guidance based on your family’s goals. Therapy with me is collaborative, playful, and grounded in deep respect for your child’s unique nervous system and developmental needs. I also support teens, adults, and families through life’s challenges. My practice includes: Children struggling with behavior, emotional regulation, or trauma Children with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or social difficulties Parents and teens who feel disconnected or stuck in conflict Adults navigating anxiety, depression, or life transitions Individuals seeking a neurodivergent-affirming therapist Families working through stress, grief, or change If you’re looking for couples therapy, I offer support using the Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT)—a powerful, experiential model rooted in neuroscience, attachment theory, and arousal regulation. PACT helps partners go beyond surface-level conflict to understand how each person’s nervous system, communication style, and early life experiences shape their relationship. Together, we work in real time to improve connection, emotional safety, and mutual support. Finding a therapist who feels like the right fit can be hard. If you appreciate a straightforward, compassionate approach—and maybe even a little humor along the way—we might be a good match. I’m here to support you and your family with warmth, curiosity, and clinical skill. I offer in-person sessions in South Lawrence (less than 20 minutes from Baldwin and 15 minutes from Eudora) as well as secure telehealth across Kansas. Click “Request Appointment” to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. You’re also welcome to email or text—I look forward to connecting with you.
